A complete revamp of customized kitchen consumers database' creation existing platform for a New York based kitchen service company. Reform information architecture in line with business goals to generate usable outputs for the business.

Develop new advanced modules and features for Lead generation and create new business opportunities for the company as a  growth plan for future.

As an entrepreneur

Led the entire project with hands on design role. Worked on User Experience Strategy, Rebuilt information architecture, Conceptualized new required features around agile structure using Jira as a tool with periodic sprint results and Visual design strategy and uplift. 

Cross Collaboration

While leading the research and Re design, have cross collaborated with Stakeholders and developers.

The Aim

Provide a functionality to synthesize consumer data into authentic organization and contact entity data. Develop a journey to further Generate leads out of the consumer database. Incorporate functionalities to manage the logs and activities facilitating creation of the Leads section.

Focus on Features Goals to start with  :​

  • Re define the consumers organization and contact database generation model with recognizing flaws in current platform and organize the process.

  • Make the experience self intuitive for the users and easy to complete tasks.

  • Recommend best practices and trends in design. Re define design strategy.

  • Scale the business model with introducing new features whereever required. Enhance app functionalities overall and usability.

  • Craft the application in a way that it can exist as an independent product in the market.

Problem

It was difficult to filter authentic consumer organization and contact information with current platform.

There was no categorization of information to further generate the consumer data. Hence scaling the product became difficult. Product was not planned as a whole and have been developed without any Usability or design strategy.

Current Functionality was very complex and confusing. Aesthetically design is at very basic level.

  • One global navigation is defined and is scalable inline with future business goals. Functions are separated and structured within the same space distinctively such as search, filter.

  • Visual design is largely based on Material Design Principles. 

Adapting a traditional car dashboard functions to start the process of creating concept for interface, which can showcase responses and alerts as a result of product security control triggers.

Information architecture has flaws and usability is impacted.

  • Assign profile, Filters, search are independent functions. They are defined and designed with more specific to its use. It's confusing for users to receive information in different styles on different screens in the same app.

  • Social platform links of the contacts plays a key role in the process and are defined in more clean and easy to use approach they have been also separated from contact name category of information.

  • Pagination saves scroll and makes multiple rows manageable to perform tasks as a whole.

Information has been stacked as per need arises, hence functions are confusing.

  • Tabs design gives an overview of related information along with edit function in the same screen to perform action on task.

  • Collapse and expand within rows saves multiple steps to reach final task and achieves better user experience.

Information Validation and interactivity of the information as well as scalabilty is missing.

  • Add Organization and contact is a key function in the application and now has been added address validation with google maps.

  • Functionality for multiple addresses, contact numbers and website addresses can be added under one organization.

  • Interface to validate contacts across related permits and licenses is introduced.

  • Information is categorized according to subject types.

Lead Opportunity Generation Interface

One of the central goals of the project was allowing the user to create Leads and convert them into Opportunities for the business. This is entirely new module incepted and driven by me after the initial revamp of the existing platform and conceptualizing over all design strategy for the application.

​

Lead results are derived with the combination of database created out of consumer organization and contact modules and the API's fetched from the external database channels. Lead interface provides functionality to cross mapping permittee and owner parameters in comparison to reach at an actionable Lead information and convert them into the opportunities further.

​

Although it was challenging to convert complex data and ideas into Design-driven interface visualization for transforming insightful and actionable tasks, it brought tremendous value to the business.
